BE MORE ACTIVE...
Activity provides positive stimulation which boosts your mood and so leads to improved body image. This doesn’t need to be difficult, in fact the easier it is the more likely you are to want to do more.
BE MORE SOCIAL...
Get more social interaction as sharing and giving brings contentment and a sense of belonging.
BE MORE IN CONTROL...
Taking positive steps to improve overall health such as healthier food choices is empowering and builds self confidence and self esteem.
5 Steps to a Healthier and Happier Life:
1.Set achievable goals - start by walking round the garden and build up distance at your own pace.
2.Make sure it is enjoyable – don’t do an activity if you hate it, eat healthier foods you enjoy and make time to relax
3.Make it social – join an existing group or form your own. Put cards through the door, ask mum’s at school, work colleagues, family members and friends.
4.Any activity is good - if you prefer something like amateur dramatics or the local choir then go for it, its still active and great for stress relief.
5. Set targets -– make small simple steps, aim for an achievable goal and plan in regular rewards
