I have spent my working life test running health products and services so I have seen more than my fairshare of the good, bad and ugly! The reason why I went into this area of work is because I have always had a real interest in health matters mainly because I have spent so much time trying to resolve my own.
I first met Liz at a health show in 2004 and personally I was stuck in a health hole. Over a relatively short space of time I had gone from being fit, slim and healthy to piling on a vast amount of weight, which left me feeling tired, fed-up and a plummeting self esteem - not a good thing to have in this business.
I found myself really relating to what Liz was saying and when we met later, I realised this was because she was only human and had experienced her own health highs and lows. We developed Be Happy Be Healthy, something we are both very passionate and excited about.
We seem bombarded with “health experts” and "healthy advice" and it can get really confusing. personally I found I was jumping from one fad to the other with little success so what’s different with Be Happy Be Healthy? Well, it’s very simple really, we want to help others benefit from not just professional expertise but from our own and others personal experiences that ultimately helped to a happier and healthier way of living.
Every day we are confronted with issues that affect our overall wellbeing but being aware of these influences and making changes to overcome them is to me, the route to a much happier and healthier person.
I found What works best for me is small simple changes that I can easily introduce into my day to day life but I also recognise the importance of making happiness a priority. My health is still work in progress but I feel more relaxed and confident that I can make a difference and we hope be happy be healthy can also provide some help to you, even if its just to offer hope or empathy.
